Christian Harris (he/his) is an accomplished coach and public speaker based in Chicago, IL. He embarked on his Strengths Based Coaching journey as a Senior Consultant with OVP Management Consulting Group in 2019. During this time, he worked closely with leaders at prestigious organizations such as the California Department of Public Health and the Delaware Department of Labor. Christian also provided coaching to social justice-driven organizations, helping them harness their strengths to drive meaningful change and achieve their missions.
In 2023, Christian founded Kindred Keynotes and Coaching. Through engaging speeches, coaching, and consulting, we empower nonprofits, DEI practitioners, government agencies, and social justice advocates with the resources needed to manifest their vision, achieve their goals, and create a more just world.
With a passion for community work, Christian has served on multiple boards, including the Oak Park River Forest Chamber of Commerce, the North Avenue District Board, and the Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly Board. He has run for political office twice, winning once and securing one of four open seats in a competitive field of 10. Engaging in activism, he has participated in demonstrations with Black Youth Project 100, The People's Lobby, the Oak Park Women Planned Parenthood march, and more. Christian recently served as a consultant to Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson during his campaign and transition. This role allowed him to contribute to initiatives designed to have a lasting impact on the city.
Christian resides in Chicago with his wife Richelle and recently welcomed their first child.
