Our Why

For years, Nick Martin has been helping social impact professionals at all stages of their careers find their next roles, connect with each other, and learn about events and opportunities in the space, amassing a following of nearly 300,000 followers on LinkedIn. As a social impact career and leadership coach, cofounder/collaborator Caroline Ouwerkerk works with mission-driven professionals and organizations on five continents to grow and support social impact leaders at all stages of their careers. Since 2022, she’s been collaborating with Nick to develop resources and share opportunities to support job seekers in the field.

We started Impact Coach to make it easier for talented established and emerging social impact professionals to get connected with the resources, support, and community they need to help them advance their changemaking work. We believe deeply in the power of the internet to bring great people together, and embrace an iterative approach to everything we do. Impact Coach is our latest initiative to support this community, and we’re excited to keep building.
