About Sue

Sue Griffey, DrPH, BSN, (she/her) gives the HOW to what others TELL you to do, with actionable advice to get to the next career path step. Dr. Griffey is helping the next generation of global leaders find and prove their value when they tell their career story with evidence-based results.

She uses real-world examples to demonstrate her practical advice for professional presence.

Sue works with global professionals across a spectrum of careers from public health and social impact to law and accounting to graphic and interior designers. They represent a range of experience levels from students through senior leaders.

Dr. Griffey is the founder of SueMentors, a 1.5 decade-long global mentoring service for people in career transitions. She created and runs 2 online courses on Professional Presence in addition to mentoring in short- and medium-term mentoring programs for universities and professional membership organizations and private clients. Sue wove together her nursing career with public health education and program evaluation in global and US settings with >3 decades of global development experience. She was a VP and senior evaluation expert at Social & Scientific Systems and JHPIEGO before starting her 4th act of global mentoring. Dr. Griffey is sought after for her talks and workshops on professional presence and professional branding for global professionals. She also delivers semi-monthly professional development webinars in MentorTime and has an active presence on LinkedIn and YouTube.

Distinctions and Honors:

2015: Co-founded the Short-Term Mentoring Program for Tulane SPHTM Students/Alumni: Sue co-ran it until stepping down in mid-2020. Developed the 4-step process to build professional presence used as the basis for short-term mentoring for career opportunities and professional development
